Träumerei Schumann

Träumerei is a beautiful piano piece by Robert Schumann, composed in 1838 as part of his Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood) Op. 15. It is the seventh and most famous piece in the collection, and it expresses the joy and innocence of childhood dreams. The title means “Dreaming” or “Reverie” in German, and the music is gentle, lyrical, and melodic. The piece has a simple ABA form, with a contrasting middle section in a minor key that creates a brief moment of sadness or nostalgia. The piece ends with a return to the bright and optimistic mood of the beginning
